Women?
Tue, Oct 23, 2007 4:41 PM
Just remember the adage: 'Old sailors never die, they just move on to trawlers that go the same slow speed... but are more comfortable'...or something like that. Age? Not that it matters, but coming on 77 next month. I have also been up/down the east coast ICW several times. What's your point? Marge Griffith

Lettering and Spiders

A PITA but there's worse to come...those horrible 'fish flies' that suddenly rise from the surface of the water and stick to the dew on the boat and die, covering the boat with a dead fish smell!

Re: T&T: burping the AC

Keith Live your life so that when you die, the preacher will not have to tell lies at your funeral. ________________ -----Original Message----- As most of you know it is easy to get air into the AC cooling pump creating an air lock that the pump will not over come. When you haul a boat it will do it also, and so will a "dripless" shaft seal.

Sat, Jan 29, 2011 3:29 PM
So, unless there is a hidden fuse or CB in the windlass motor housing, it seems to me the windlass motor decided to die this A.M. I would call Lewmar for ideas, but today being Saturday nobody is home. Any ideas for resolution GREATLY appreciated. Currently southbound in the ICW heading passing West Palm this P.M. Re: T&T: Two batteries/one bilge pump
Fri, Apr 27, 2018 3:08 AM
If a battery is dying and the switch is on both, both batteries die; then the bilge starts to fill. You are correct about both discharging equally if the switch is on BOTH, as long as they are at the same capacity AND state of charge. But if one is weak, it will soon be discharged and take the good one with it.
