My Sprint 1000 windlass stopped working in mid-retrieval this morning. The reversing relay is working in both directions - 12 volts in and 12 volts out to the windlass when activated. Windlass motor won't run in either direction but can be hand-cranked. So, nothing is jammed. I can visually follow the power cable from the relay box to the windlass and nothing is amiss. So, unless there is a hidden fuse or CB in the windlass motor housing, it seems to me the windlass motor decided to die this A.M. I would call Lewmar for ideas, but today being Saturday nobody is home. Any ideas for resolution GREATLY appreciated. Currently southbound in the ICW heading passing West Palm this P.M.
