Re: Re : Raw water strainers?

This creates a potential airlock because of the high spot at top of case. Venting would require loosening the strainer top. Sure hope you find the source of your problem soon! Fwd: TWL: amp draw for refer
Sun, Feb 27, 2000 12:06 PM
We were considering the Norcold option but it sounds like we may be better off with a small ac unit w/o all the whistles and bells and perhaps a small top loading freezer for long runs. Besides Haieramerica, does anyone know who makes a small top loading freezer? I've been to Sears and Pennys.

RE: TWL: Any cold starting tips for my DD's?

The ether mix detonates in the cylinder before the piston gets to the top, resulting in a violent push down, when the crank is still trying to push the piston up to the top. The bent push rods on display drove the point home vividly.

The strap that comes with them is used ONLY to hold the tops on.Very neat ( and cheap) , tops and all. One heck of a lot less work than building glass ones. CCC

It has a gause filter under the top, the top is secured on by screws, and there is a gasket there as well; another possible trouble spot. Regards Bob -- ------------------------- Bob & Kelly M/V Tamara B http://www.tamara-b.org --------------------------

Thoroflush Winterizing Unit

Close the seacock, remove the top from the strainer" Which is true you could, but having a handy length of hose and garden type push snap fittings on the Thoroflush units - then all it takes is a turn of the levers and you're off an running.

The only possible way to tie a clove hitch would be around the top, down to deck level, through a freeing port, back up over the top of the rail and repeat. :-) Jim -- Jim McCorison Starfish Marine (619) 337-5370 http://manana.mccorison.com - Our Travels with Maqana http://www.starfishmarine.com - My Business

Re: T&T: Green/red buoy

The green on top is the green marker for the primary channel, and the red marks the red buoy for the secondary channel. If there is no secondary channel there, who the heck knows? Like somebody else said... maybe anti-fouling paint? Lost buoy? Keith _____ It's cat's world.

Re: T&T: Mast lowering and raising rig

Sid, I had a 36' Albin and used a block and tackle run from the top of the mast to an eye hook on the dash board of the fly bridge. I lowered the mast and boom aft into a cradle bolted to the top of the aft cabin. I did this to clear the roof of the shed covering my dock.
