TWL: RE: Crimp connectors
Sun, Aug 17, 2003 10:05 PM
all the industrial bare terminal crimpers have a double action crimp die. The front die crimps onto the bare wire, the rear die crimps onto the insulation for strain relief. But you don't find these tools in consumer stores. You have to go to an industrial supplier. I'm also not terribly impressed with the larger end of Ancor's product range.

If wood and steel are that well bonded together, why all the destruction? Would a can or two of paint and some putty not have been adequate? Gg

Almost all domestic hot water solar heaters use them, as do most marine hot water heaters. From www.heatexchangersonline.com: "Our line of double wall brazed plate heat exchangers are suitable for potable water, food industry, pharmaceutical and various other applications where the possibility of cross contamination must be eliminated.

algal growth

When the water column gets stratified (doesn't mix from top to bottom) then the lower levels can get depleted of oxygen. Then other microbes take over that can use sources other than oxygen to decompose things. This is termed 'anaerobic' and produces those lovely rotten egg smells we have all experienced.

Nick you are making us all look bad!

Hi All, Congrats to Nick on the great find. Two days and two great birds - what can he possibly find tomorrow to top them? A just reward for those days wading through gulls (and trash) up in Windsor.

I don’t have an FCS DVD handy to dig it up. I also have no idea if there is a copy outside a pay wall. They went into a bit more detail on what they saw. It gives you a bit better feel for how it works in the real world.
