"A powerful public-correspondence, privately owned radio station in Mobile, Alabama, call sign WLO, stands ready to handle all high-seas radio telephone and high-seas Coast Guard emergency calls." The article lists the WLO radiotelephone channels/frequencies as well as directions on how to reprogram ICOM HF radios to the new channels.

That's the only marina we stopped at so I can't tell if fuel is that expensive all along the Erie. > Mike & Sue Johnston > Sheena II > > ------------------------------ > This mobile message sent using PocketMail. > Sign up for unlimited e-mail at www.PocketMail.com. > >

With all due respect to Bob Smith, he seldom makes it north into our area, especially when the temp begins to drop (Bob Smith if you see this, please grin). In my high tech diesel car, also a TDI, I use Mobil 1 5W-40 in the warmer season and 0W-30 in the winter. Peter North Salty Dog KK42 #52 Lying Salem, MA

Re: T&T: battery charger hook up

Alternately, you could replace the battery isolator with a battery combiner as I prefer, which would allow the Inv/Chg to charge all three battery banks. Then just keep the 35A charger for backup in case the Heart goes T/U. Mark Richter, Winnie the Pooh Mark's Mobile Marine Electrical Systems Installation & Repair

Just because you observe one tz update from Debian does not imply that all "Linux systems" on planet earth (or in space) magically know about leap seconds. There must be millions (billions?)

New Birding App 'Merlin" from Cornell
Fri, Jan 10, 2014 6:21 PM
Hi all.  There's a new mobile birding app, "Merlin",  which I think someone has brought up on the list before, however it is now Live and out of Lab.   It was created by the web team at Cornell, and it's Free.   The app helps ID, pulls in date and location info, factors in your answers, and then generates a list of most likely bird sightings.
