According to Ocean Navigator, March-April 1999, page 98, AT&T will end HF
SSB radiotelephone service on February 28, 1999. KMI in San Francisco, WOO
in New Jersey, and WOM in Miami will go off the air as of that date.
"A powerful public-correspondence, privately owned radio station in Mobile,
Alabama, call sign WLO, stands ready to handle all high-seas radio
telephone and high-seas Coast Guard emergency calls."
The article lists the WLO radiotelephone channels/frequencies as well as
directions on how to reprogram ICOM HF radios to the new channels.
If anyone needs the new channels/frequencies, I'll be glad to scan and
forward same.
