In response to Duck trap question
Thu, Dec 17, 2009 2:20 PM
Occasionally ducks die in the trap and I don't know why. Apparently there are other duck traps around the state. it's just that from the windows of the Audubon building I can see this trap, so I report the findings about the marsh.

TWL: The perfect boat fantasy
Tue, May 8, 2001 11:02 AM
I'll manage to have the whole lash up looking good and in running order (a not too, too difficult job - sometimes) and die before it can break, thus leaving it as an asset to QUICKLY sell rather than a deficit to whoever survives me. Rich Gano CALYPSO (GB42-295) Homeport Panama City I'd rather be cruisin'

If you argument is to believed, boats OVER 60 ft should be using CSC and the small boats should be using "the good stuff".( I just couldn't let this thread die a quite death) :-) ..jd Joe DellaFera / Margaret Murray 36' Prairie DC "Prairie Star" Pompano Beach, Fl. TWL: Re: Canvas Snap Fastener Tool
Mon, Oct 13, 2003 4:29 AM
I bought one of these kits after years of fooling with the feeble hammer and die sets from the boating store. After you use this tool you will love working on canvas and will actyally hunt for loose or missing snaps on your existing canvas. (I did...)

TWL: Fuel Barge
Sun, Feb 1, 2004 6:38 PM
The south bay has no fuel docks as that is where boats go to die, most being slip-huggers. The barge carries 10,000 gallons of diesel and gasoline, charges more than the fuel docks charge, and does not have to pay a percentage of sales to the port authority as do the private fuel dock operators.
