Does anyone know the status of the bill Patrick Kennedy (D-RI) introduced
which would give a 20% tax credit for purchasing a boat over 50 feet which
is built in the United States? If it passed and is now law do you know if
there has there been any reaction by the US boat building industry? Have any
of the trawler manufacturers factored this into their programs? What do you
think the impact will be on the boats that are produced in Canada and other
overseas locations? Thanks, Mike

You don't really think it has a snowball's chance to pass in this political
environment, do you?
HR-667 was referred to a sub committee on March 1, 1999, and there it will die.
