Don't have them on my boat now as I haven't gotten around to it yet, but as the current batteries die, will replace them with AGMs. I swear by them. Ron & Molly Bodeen, 1986 42' Heritage East, MTOA #2950, AGLCA #3464, San Diego, CA

If your teak deck is about to die, go a head and use Cetol. do not be shy about applying extra coats. We have boats going on five years without stripping. TWL: Maptech Chart Navigator v4.4
Fri, Jul 14, 2000 2:20 AM
Hi All, Just got my Maptech Chart CD update and along with it came their new chart viewing application. It has a number of handy features: tides (high, low, height), current (present flood/ebb, max flood, max ebb with direction and magnitude), and numerous printing options.

I have watched a big very expensive yacht moored near me (a brand we all know well and would die for) maneuver out of his slip over a dozen times. Even with thrusters he has to do a 6 or 8 point turn to get out of a slip with lots of backing room in a light wind.

Die sudden death next to work dinks or docks with barnicals . Can not be dragged up onto most beaches as all the necrssary outboard junk makes them too heavy. Most are very wet in any outboard operation over a couple of K. If use as life boat , you just sit waiting to be hopefully found. My preference is for an old & very $$ rare Grumman Sailing dink.
