We would appreciate information on who and where makes Marine Deck2000,
which is a cork material that looks like teak.
Kindest Regards,

Hi All,
Just got my Maptech Chart CD update and along with it came their new chart
viewing application. It has a number of handy features: tides (high, low,
height), current (present flood/ebb, max flood, max ebb with direction and
magnitude), and numerous printing options. One option lets you print a chart
with overlayed routes showing course and distance on each leg - this is
handy for those who fear their GPS will die. It also lets you upload and
download to/from a GPS. Being able to print the charts in large sizes with
waypoints/routes is very useful for us, as we use a Yeoman and don't bring a
'puter on board.
It runs on Windows (95, 98, NT). "Wait a minute", I hear you saying, "aren't
you a Mac guy?". Well, yes, but I also run Windows 98 on my Mac in order to
check/debug cross platform applications/databases.
Anyway, it's worth a try, especially given the price (included with CD).

I'm glad to finally see someone who uses a YEOMAN besides myself.
That product has to be the neatest thing since sliced bread for
electronic chart work,
While it doesn't lend itself too well to applications involving high
speed, it seems the perfect plotting tool for displacement speed trawlers
and sailboats.
Since you already have the paper charts, this is also the most cost
effective, not to mention the best for dealing with possible power
outages. If the power fails you simply keep plotting on the same chart
using DR.
How long have you been using the YEOMAN?
Cheers
Arild
