Wheel hard to turn
Fri, May 28, 2010 10:45 AM
I may try squirting light oil at the top of the sheath. I have not looked into the top of the pedestal yet where the gear & sprocket are located. Lots to disassemble. Thanks for the ideas...

macerator pump blows

My solution: on the top of the vented loop I pull off the neoprene hose with the anti siphon valve (siphon break) and put on a different longer hose & squirt water into it with a ketchup bottle to liberate the impeller or maybe prime it. Annoying but works every time.

Re: [OpenSCAD] "use" results in 3x more run time than "include"

The fact that echo()s at top-level are executed any time a function in a used library is called, makes me suspect the function declarations are also being re-executed. With 2019.01-RC2 I don't see the behavior that you describe.

I don't know what to look for if there is no mention at the top level.

Resizing text doesn't work

[image: image.png] Not quite correct because the one is slightly too tall when there are no top segments. Since I don't know the height of the text I can't put a dummy pixel at the top.

Re: [time-nuts] More Allan deviation data

I had to stack up frequency counters on top of frequency counters (to measure time difference and each input frequency simultaneously -> 3 counters) and the last one on the top, a HP 5334B, was fairly high and just about level with the antenna, about 2 feet away.

Ovenaire OSC 49-61C
Wed, Jun 12, 2013 2:48 PM
By removing the 4 bottom screws and the 2 top screws, applying a little heat with a heat gun around the bottom to melt the glue, the oven came apart with little protest. I was able to carefully access the top 2 boards and there is no sign of component failure there so it maybe something inside the oven itself.
