Top mounted supply tubes can dump full too if they are not equiped with a shutoff valve or anti siphon device. The anti siphon device is required on gasoline systems. Rodger Wrona Rollsdoc MT49PH

Pre lubriication

Perhaps the ideal solution is to combine a prelube system with an oil change, drain system and topping up pump/s. That's what I have. Homebuilt system employing two good electric pumps one for each engine. When topping up I simply dip the pick up tube into the 5 gal drum, throw the levers and hit the switch.

Oil Filter Position
Sat, Oct 13, 2007 10:55 PM
When I change the oil I punch a hole in the top of my horizontally mounted filter, place a pan under the filter and loosen the filter 1/2 turn to put the hole down. I take a break and get something to drink. By the time I'm done, so is the filter.
