anyone who has done outdoor slide shows?
Fri, Feb 19, 2010 7:51 PM
The slides would be over the top of performers so this is not a clean, gallery, featured presentation. It's OK to be an individual or to be thinking of a combining a number of individuals work - at the moment I'm thinking we need a minimum of 50 images.

TWL: RE: Engine Removal - was Agonies
Sun, Oct 14, 2001 9:16 PM
If I ever need to remove the engine I'll cut through the caulk and unbolt the hatch and the engine will lift straight out the top. I figure this is an insurance policy. If I make it easy to remove the engine I'll never need to do it, but if it is very hard, I need to do it a lot:-) Cheers; Mike Schooley Trailerable Trawler wannabe

TWL: What to use when going overboard?
Fri, Apr 11, 2003 1:23 PM
As I was under the boat she began rocking and the hull banged the top of my head. It nearly knocked me out.....I literally saw stars....One of the few times boating I have been scared. An alternative would be to always have one arm partially extended to keep your noggin away from the hull...not easy to do in current and natural buoyancy....

Re: T&T: Chartplotters

indeed hard to reply without additional info but i have a 2006c and love it... very easy to use, intuitive interface (never had to open the manual), big bright screen, detailed charts. As a bonus, you can hook up PC and use that as a second station for free. pascal miami, fl 70 hatteras 53my ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard G.

Re: T&T: Thru hull valve

I might add that if you have a thru-hull with threads sticking up and a ball valve screwed on top of that, you don't have a proper seacock arrangement. For one thing, you've probably got taper threads on the ball valve screwed onto straight threads on the thru-hull fitting, NOT a good connection.

Wood preservation

Woven cloth or Dynell is easy to use with epoxy. A good epoxy paint is hard to beat. I have used light fiberglass cloth and epoxy garage floor paint with good results. Be aware that a waterproof coating can also hold in moisture, causing rot. Any epoxy will need a top coat of some sort, although the floor coatings do have decent UV resistance.

Tides and Currents on a Mobile Phone The information is useful whether you use a mobile phone, a laptop, or a normal desk-top link to these very informative sites. The explanations are, as usual for the Siegel's, chock-a-block-full of information and easy to use suggestions.

Re: T&T: Swim Platform Extension
Thu, Oct 7, 2010 2:04 PM
It attaches to the swim platform and is extremely easy to use. We were traveling for 3 weeks and our 15 year old was out and about everyday and it worked extremely well. The owner of the company, Kevin is a great guy and the quality and cost is second to none.
