CSM (chop strand mat) does not work with epoxy. Woven cloth or Dynell is easy to use with epoxy. A good epoxy paint is hard to beat. I have used light fiberglass cloth and epoxy garage floor paint with good results. Be aware that a waterproof coating can also hold in moisture, causing rot. Any epoxy will need a top coat of some sort, although the floor coatings do have decent UV resistance.
