Dead mouse
Sun, Jul 5, 2020 3:49 PM
I hope the mouse didn’t die from any kind of poison. The mouse could’ve gone out and bled to death and then it would have been bad for the Blue jay. Susanne Shrader

At the top of the Hill, turn left on the Ridge Road and follow it to the end where it enters the Mer Bleue conservation area parking lot. Take the trail to the boardwalk and the bird was about half way around on the boardwalk.

The field is pretty easy to pick out (its the only field that isn't a row crop) and is at the corner of hwy 3 (Talbot Line) and Camper's Cove Road. The bird was between The close oil derrick and Campers Cove Road.

Prowler vs Tortuga

Top access is very easy, filters are readily accessible, but impellers are almost impossible and require dismantling the coolant and exhaust hoses and entire raw water pump. Long arms and short wrenches help. Starters are also quite difficult. T. Hanna

Changing Gulf Coast Filters
Thu, Aug 13, 1998 3:12 PM
My question is - how easy are they to change? >> Tom, I have no trouble and no mess changing the paper towels. My filter canisters are located so as to be above the level of the sump. When it's time to change paper towels I loosen the top of the cannister, with the oil hot, and allow the liquid oil to drain back into the engine.

With flexible 3" duct it was relatively easy to get the air ducted, a little more work to get the plumbing done. Our installer chose to place the unit outside the engine room to eliminate fumes and odors from the engine room being pumped into the cabin.

TWL: when to stop filling
Thu, Nov 1, 2001 8:06 PM
Yesterday I was out for a short cruise on a friends Roughwater and we topped up the fuel tanks. He had a great gizmo that caught any fuel over flow if you filled to full. Its at west marine for 18.99 or close. Its in the catalog. I cant recall exactly but I want to say page 18. and I think it ws called spill saver.

It makes is easy to pull things out and to back them back where they belong. We have a notebook for Engine/Propulsion, Electrical, Cabin, Deck, and Electronics. This system works most of the time. Andy and Dinata Misovec aboard Atlantic 44 "Frobenius" in Baltimore, MD
