TWL: Holding Tank Fitting
Mon, Jul 10, 2000 7:15 PM
The head sits directly on top, with the floor dividing the two, and is gravity fed. When all this was put together, the vent was also mounted on the top portion of the cylinder, but is now clogged due to corrosion. It is in a location that is not accessible. I have not been able to ream out the vent line and need to put in a new one.

On HMCS Huron, the crew regularly had to remove dead birds from the top of the bridge after missile firing exercises. And consider all the fuss about cellphones. It's just not worth the possible trouble. <top, why bother using one? What circumstances have you up top needing one?

TWL: searches and water tanks
Thu, May 1, 2003 7:58 PM
Second, I plan to increase my water capacity so I am installing a 20 gal Todd tank with an additional 9 gal Todd tank on top connecting both as one tank. I plan to have the fill hose enter the top tank with a smaller hose connecting from this tank to the larger 20 gal tank. I will then use the 20 gal tank feed line for both tanks.

Snip >Most cooks prefer gas tops and electric ovens. So it is written. Properly >installed propane is excellent. > End Snip.. Well as a former cook(Fagers Island Ocean City Maryland) I'll agree with the first part, yes we do like gas tops because we can control the heat so much quicker.

Latop Viewing: The Dark Box

I cut it to a width equal to the top and two sides of my laptop screen and guestimated the depth I needed. I then folded two creases in the foamcore, making a hood that spanned the top of the screen and dropped down each side. I had some velcro in the galley junk drawer which I affixed to the top and sides of the laptop as well as to the foamcore.

Re: T&T: nitrogen

He also mentioned that if you use nitrogen, then you need to make sure you top off with nitrogen. As soon as you top off with air, you lose all of the benefits of the nitrogen. As to using it in an inflatable, I would think that it would be really hard to maintain a source of nitrogen for topping off. I'm sure it would be doable, but a PITA.

Re: T&T: Installing an electric fuel pump for priming .....

After a few squeezes fuel is at the top of the filter. Put the top on loosely, squeeze a little more till fuel begins to overflow and tighten up. Valve the bulb back out. The squeeze bulb is not in the fuel line underway so I don't worry about it rupturing or not meeting fuel line standards.

More on text alignment
Mon, Dec 28, 2020 4:15 AM
. --- valign --- valign=top doesn't always slam the top of the string against the X axis.  If the glyph is below and not touching the baseline, it only adjusts the baseline up to the X axis.  Thus text("_",valign="top") has the underscore a bit -Y below the X axis.
