That doesn't prevent you from mounting ANOTHER small "priming pump"
BEFORE the primary filters if they are high-mounted.

In fact, I have a squeeze bulb (outboard motor gas line type) that I valve
into the feed line to the primary Racor(s) for filling them.

After a few squeezes fuel is at the top of the filter. Put the top on
loosely, squeeze a little more till fuel begins to overflow and tighten up.
Valve the bulb back out.
The squeeze bulb is not in the fuel line underway so I don't worry about it
rupturing or not meeting fuel line standards.

I've tried the 'carry a little fresh diesel and pour in the top' bit. That's
way too much hassle.

I'm rebuilding the lazarette hatch on our 1972 - GB32 woodie and made the
mistake of not taking a picture of the framework on the hatch before I
removed the planking.  The framework is not symmetrical.  If anyone has a 32
with a single hatch for the lazarette and could let me know if the narrower
section is forward or aft, I would appreciate the information.

Thanks.

Rich
