Less visibly but equally important, Steve Morytko manages back-end support for CTBirds, COA's website and membership services, and many other COA IT-related resources. Thank you, Steve. CTBirds is a free service supported by COA members. Please consider joining COA if you are not already a member.

Fiberglass on woodies
Sat, Jun 13, 1998 3:39 AM
Fiberglass over wood is a sure- fire way for the wood(timber or ply) to die early. Polyester resins are not vapor proof and moisture gets trapped behind the layer of glass and has a gay time rotting your wood. Also the expansion is different between the two mediums. If you have plywood then use epoxy/glass only and WEST the whole works. My experience??

Since you won't, do it now before they are transferred or die. Hope to hell they know what they are talking about. If challenged because of something not done absolutely correct, plead the truth, ignorance. Use as your defence that you have used due diligence, searched high and low for the proper answers and been blindsided by the system.
