Don't believe anything you are told. Be sure to consult at least 10 people. If 2 have the same information, they may be right. Once you have found the truth, get it in writing. Since you won't, do it now before they are transferred or die. Hope to hell they know what they are talking about. If challenged because of something not done absolutely correct, plead the truth, ignorance. Use as your defence that you have used due diligence, searched high and low for the proper answers and been blindsided by the system.
