Re: [OpenSCAD] STEP support? Converter?
Tue, Feb 17, 2015 4:21 PM
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, FreeCAD (http://freecadweb.org/) can also output step files (and read the CSG files exported by OpenSCAD, which allows to convert from OpenSCAD to STEP or IGES or many other formats). Greetings On Tue, 17 Feb 2015 08:15:12 -0800 "Yvette S. TWL: Bimini top material
Wed, Jun 18, 2003 4:39 PM
The time has come to replace the bimini top and enclosure on my trawler. I prefer to use a white material to reduce the heat gain on my bridge. I have considered using Weblon's Regatta Marine Fabric. Does anyone on the list have experience with this material? How about this material vs. Sunbrella or other materials.

TWL: Desk top computer
Sun, Mar 28, 2004 1:36 PM
I recently blew the power supply in my desk top computer. I was told that it was probably because I had been operating it through my inverter (Heart Freedom 20 modified sine wave). I replaced the power supply and added a UPS battery back up. I was told that the UPS would insure a safe current to the power supply.

Check out Printopia at http://www.ecamm.com/mac/printopia/ I've used it with my iPhone and iPad and it is great, about $20.00 This is a concise statement from their website: Whether you have an inkjet printer plugged into your Mac, a laser printer plugged into your router or even a network printer, if your Mac can print to it, Printopia will share it.

No matter what, it is all about being on the water! The other day on my return trip from Boca I passed 3 Krogens headed South. I envied them as they were obviously on a long trip based on their hailing ports - what a wonderful lifestyle!

Dave: I struggled with the same problem and decided on the newer aluminum frames with a thin skin of fiberglass on top. These types of tops are very light. The workers easily walk on these but you have to be careful. One thing I would caution is to really plan out the placement of any antennas you want to put on top.

Re: TWL: vacuum gauge on top of Racor filter
Sat, Apr 21, 2001 11:29 PM
The liquid filled Racor gauges always have a air bubble at the top. Also if the gauge does not return to zero then the instructions tell you to lift the little rubber plug at the top and then the gauge should zero out. I learned this by returning the gauge and after I installed the second one I got around to reading the instructions.
