The time has come to replace the bimini top and enclosure on my trawler.
I prefer to use a white material to reduce the heat gain on my bridge. I
have considered using Weblon's Regatta Marine Fabric. Does anyone on the
list have experience with this material? How about this material vs. Sunbrella
or other materials. Also any suggestions on the clear vinyl material?
Any info. will be appreciated.

I have a foredeck awning made from Weblon - white on the outside and light
gray underneath. The white reflects the sun quite well while the gray
underside knocks down the glare. Have only had it for a year or so but it's
held up well.

We have used white Sunbrella for all our covers for about 5 years now and
they still look great. Each spring, we take the covers to a commercial
self-serve laundry and wash them in Ivory soap and a little bleach and they
come out like new. We do not run them through the dryer, rather we install
them while wet and they dry and fit well.
Good luck,
Bob Lowe
