Re: T&T: Working with Gelcoat question
Mon, Jan 30, 2012 2:54 PM
Hi Henry, All "top coating" polyester resins have wax in them. The wax provides a film which keeps air off of the surface. I would guess that you put on gel coat that was made to spray into a mould, and then be covered by successive layers of cloth and mat. All of those layers, except the last one would not have wax in them.

Boat Database Proposal
Mon, Feb 27, 2006 4:45 PM
I am going to tackle a little project that expands on the recent boat name list that Bob McLeran put together for all of us and wanted to get some feedback from the listees on it... What I am going to establish is a web-based database that contains the initial data that Bob put together and make it available via a website.

Re: [CT Birds] best song of them all........

I suppose there are some I feel just a bit more strongly about in all regards, chimney swifts, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, etc... not big songsters of course but their vocalizations delight me, but I do agree that the thrushes are incredible songsters.

So all that needs to be done to rectify the problem is to locate and open the short between the green and white conductors. It could be in the boats wiring or in a device plugged into one of the outlets. Tom Collins, Misty Sea
