TWL: Polishing Discharge - top or bottom?

All the discussion of fuel polishing and the likelihood of spending a lot of time in a slip this winter (while working on other people's boats) have persuaded me to put in a system. I plan either a Gulfcoast or an ESI system to run in the slip, not underway.
