09/26/12 - Litchfield, White Memorial, Little Pond -- Common Gallinule
was reported at Little Pond in Litchfield, feeding in the cattails at
the northeastern section of the pond. Seen in the morning.

09/26/12 - Litchfield, White Memorial, Little Pond -- 4:35 PM; Common
Gallinule relocated.  (This species used to be called COmmon Moorhen.)

09/26/12 - Litchfield, White Memorial, Little Pond -- Common Gallinule
continues as of 5:30. Seen with Jim Dugan and John Marshall.  Scope
helpful to find and see this bird as it blends in well with the
vegetation.

09/26/12 - Manchester, Laurel Marsh -- brief look at the Connecticut
Warbler.

09/26/12 - Naugatuck, Naugatuck State Forest -- 1 Tennessee Warbker, 1
Blackburnian Warbler, Lincoln Sparrows.
Milford, Silver Sands State Park -- Clay-colored Sparrow continues in
the area described yesterday. Jake also found a Dickcissel in the same
area. 1 White-crowned Sparrow.

09/26/12 - Milford, Silver Sands State Park -- Clay-colored Sparrow, 2
Lincoln's Sparrows, Dickcissel still present in place John Oshlick
described earlier. All feeding in Foxtail Grasses along shrubs/trees
at edge of marsh.

09/26/12 - Greenwich -- evening; I had 11 Nighthawks over the Mianus
River. After about 10 minutes they headed south into Cos Cob harbor.
This is the most I've seen in a group this late in the season from
what I can remember.

Vireo, Clay-colored Sparrow, Lincoln's Sparrow.

09/26/12 - Harwinton yard -- 4 Purple Finch and a lone PINE SISKIN at
the feeders.

09/26/12 - Westport, Burying Hill Beach -- Lesser Black-backed Gull
seen along water's edge with Herring Gulls.

09/26/12 - West Haven, Sandy Point -- 1 Saltmarsh Sparrow.

09/26/12 - South Windsor, Station 43, Newberry Road section --
Peregrine Falcon.
Vibert Road section -- Common Raven, 2 Rusty Blackbirds and a
Dickcissel.

09/26/12 - Wilton, Allen's Meadow -- couple of LINCOLN'S SPARROWS
still hanging around, as are a few Purple Finches.

09/25/12 - East Haddam Yard -- 5:00 PM; 1 Purple Finch at feeder.
