Re: T&T: Elec issue-one engine no DC power or guages

The solenoid required by this section must either be at the tank outlet, or above the level of the top of the tank. If the engine's fuel inlet is already above the level of the top of the tank, then the solenoid is not required at all, per 183.568(a), unless the fuel line itself is routed above that level.

TLOL/Passagemaker
Tue, Sep 22, 1998 1:57 PM
Here is my nomination: PASSAGEMAKER: Robert Beebe's own ocean-going motorboat exemplifies and articulates all that is good and desirable in vessel intended for voyaging the world under power. His boat deserves to be on top of the list because Passagemaker, after all, started it all 35 years ago. --Georgs

Tenn-Tom Locking Procedures
Thu, Mar 22, 2007 9:59 AM
I want to thank everyone for all your help!! I am overwhelmed by the interest and assistance that everyone has provided to Joyce and me , both in our question about whether we should travel the "wrong way" up the Tenn-Tom to Chicago, and on the locking procedures.

I also would do the mobile, tenn-tom waterway so you would only have to be on the Mississippi for a couple hundred miles; unless of course you have a steel hulled boat.
