The first couple of weeks in April is pretty early for the northern portion of the ICW, unless you like cold, rainy weather and occasional storms. Try to delay your start until the end of the month. I also would do the mobile, tenn-tom waterway so you would only have to be on the Mississippi for a couple hundred miles; unless of course you have a steel hulled boat.
