And to all the participants, the counts are only as good as the numbers you bring back in. Thank you for all your efforts in driving, trekking, watching and recording. Good birding, Andrew Keaveney

But it's SO easy to delete stuff you don't want to read BEFORE you read it (as I have just done, leaving only 32 to read out of a received 107) so I do hope that free speech enables the cantakerous, the bigoted and the hopelessly ignorant their say too. Just remember the first rule of comedy: Be funny.

Re: Switching from sail to trawler

Top speed about 10 knots. Range at 8 knots about 800 miles, at 6.5 knots about 1200 miles. Sure is easy to make up that bed--air conditioned flying bridge is wonderful in hot weather in FL., when there is no breeze. Bob Austin Symbol 42 Pensacola FL

As soon as you put significant weight into it (e.g. me) it becomes very easy to attach and detach. Good luck with the installation.

TWL: Flag Terminals

They give you more contact area than those wimpy wing-nut top terminal posts and are easier to attach and remove than the round terminal posts. It is also easier to keep the flags clean than it is with the familiar round clamping stlye. It is very easy to connect big banks together by simply using lug terminals - just bolt them together.

The Gerogetowen entrance at Winyah Bay is a well-marked and easy ship channel, doable even in the dark. From there, we'll slip up the Wacamaw River and feast our eyes and ears on the wildlife there at sunrise and sunset. Next comes Myrtle Beach and some of that fine 95 cent diesel.
