Follow-me-tv report

A while back I had commented about installing the Follow-Me system on my boat and had several of you request info on what I thought about it, but since I have forgotten who wanted the info I will just post my report here for all to read.

How easy is it to get out of the side doors? Some sundecks have doors aft to the sundeck--for me (size is an issue, with height) the side doors are hard to get in and out of. Also in a sea way, you have to go thru these doors to get to the lower helm. I would question the top speed--maybe at WOT--but I doubt it.

Laptops seem more prone to heat build up than desk tops. As global climate change progresses I suspect we will see more cases of over heated computer equipment. Peltier cell coolong has also been used but that is a real power hog.

Then too, if the hatch can be rotated all the way over, laying flat, though upside down, this is the safest. The hinges don't have to be inlet into the hatch, but will eliminate a hump under the rug if done so.

Overall they are great engines that will run an easy 12,000 hours if you take care of them. The top 3 on my list considering the age of the 120 are: 1. injector pump seals - look for a lot of diesel in the injector pump oil when you change it. 2. leaking rear crankshaft seal 3. raw water pump - they are subject to fail but America Diesel has an upgrade.
