After all, you may run out of gas and need to be rescued and those teenagers on that roaring jetski will just flash past and leave you stranded out there all of a mile from shore because you could not be bothered to plan ahead...

[Ontbirds]Kingston area birds to Sept. 26, 2008
Fri, Sep 26, 2008 1:25 PM
Shorebirds dominated this week's sightings with all three local hotspots reporting good numbers and variety. Most of the peeps seem to have moved on, but the number of plovers, both Semipalmated and Black-bellied, is increasing. Wilton Creek at Morven had both yellowlegs, Wilson's Snipe, Pectoral Sandpipers and a White-rumped Sandpiper.

I'll try all these steps again, but I doubt they'll work. My impression at this point is that the CF card is damaged. There's an .img file on the Unavco website, but I can't download it. Does anyone have a copy or can download it? Can you provide one?

[Ontbirds]Wild Turkeys (Palgrave) & Snowy Owls (Bradford)
Sun, Feb 26, 2006 9:39 PM
I observed three Snowies, all of them female/immature types. Two were sitting in the fields north of Woodchopper's Lane, one of them on the west side of Jane Street, the other on the east side, almost parallel to each other. The third Snowy was sitting on top of a post just north of where Keele Street meets King Street.

It is the Optima Red Top that is designed for starting. The Blue Top D34M is a dual-purpose battery which can serve as a starting battery. Neither I nor Optima have any clue what the Yellow Tops are for!

In Part II, I suggest how easy it is to provide good coverage to an Atlas block given a range of hours spent in the field. Steve Broker Cheshire

Especially the part where the divers die. Just because you can get certified in a few hours doesn't mean that it's not dangerous. Just my two cents. And by the way, don't you find it interesting that you never hear people proposing higher taxes to pay for increased Coast Guard coverage?
