For those of you unfamiliar with this, NOAA has their electronic navigational charts (ENCs) available free for download. See: http://chartmaker.ncd.noaa.gov/mcd/enc/download.htm There are several free viewers available, including one from Fugawi at: http://www.fugawi.com/viewenc/viewenc.html The others are listed on the NOAA site.

I love Free Docks-and in enjoying them I have a value scale of best features. Like avoiding docks where "chain locking" your vessel to dock/wall is necessary to discourage local bar drunks from setting you adrift for laughs, But beyond that.

I have had NO success getting anything free from NOAA or the Army Corp, mainly because all they offer are ENC (vector) and not BSB (raster) charts. 1. Step one is to go to www.freeboatingcharts.com which is a Maptech site. 2. Then, if you dont already have Maptech Offshore Navigator sotware or their free Navigator viewer, download that first.
