Gensets at anchor, (and a larger question)
Sun, Oct 23, 2005 9:19 PM
How well does your wife like the glass cook tops? We had one and didn't like it. We do have a diesel two burner glass cook top in the C Dory--and it is OK, but you do have to clean it very regularly. If your wife likes to bake, be sure and have at least one good oven. My wife does not like the combo convection microwave--but some do. Bob Austin

As an alternative to sight tubes, if you can readily see the tops of your tanks, Tempo makes some mechanical gauges that can be mounted through the top of the tank.

I have sent a message to the vendor inquiring about range of wireless transmission and ability to pass thru engine room top, sounding proofing and salon top to bridge. Any info would be appreciated. No connection, just prospective purchaser. Joe Chernow MV Lady Sandra 1995 Carver 440 Joseph M. Chernow PC, CPA/ABV jmccpa@ix.netcom.com

Re: T&T: nitrogen

Need to have them top off at Costco (they said a little 'air' was OK, but if too much bring them in and they will empty the tire and refill fresh with Nitro). Have had one tire on two of the cars become low and needed more 'Nitro'. Other tires held their pressure just fine, even over the winter / summer.

If you blew it into the housing from the top, a tiny bit would exit at the bottom, but most of the "stuff" would blow back out the top. If you had some sort of tube that you could put down into the lower housing, it might work, but you'd still need to rinse the crud out.

There is a base coat that is three component PU, then the clear top coat, also three component PU. The clear top coat is sacrificial; once you put it all on, you only need to scuff it up and apply another coat or two of clear once a year or so. http://www.fabulainc.com/ Keith _____ Why do "overlook" and "oversee" mean opposite things?
