Late Osprey
Sun, Dec 7, 2008 4:06 PM
Usually it is one bird on the very top of the structure. This morning a bird flew from some trees near Pilgrim Landing to the top and there was already one on the cement base eating something. Some of the time there will be a bird in a tree or on the Osprey platform on the west side of the island.

[Ontbirds]Olive-sided Flycatcher singing in Toronto
Wed, Aug 22, 2007 1:14 PM
Look for them in similar habitat: top of a tall dead tree in a forest opening or edge. They usually return to the same perch after catching insects. Jean Iron & Ron Pittaway 9 Lichen Place Toronto ON

[Ontbirds] August 5 Scissor-tailed Flycatcher
Fri, Aug 6, 2010 12:04 PM
The Scissor-tailed Flycatcher appeared at the top of the tallest spruce tree immediately west of the Monticello Wetland sign.  Made aware of what it would sound like by a birder from Kingston, I heard what I thought might be a flycatcher calling and began pishing.

[Ontbirds] Downtown Turkey Vultures Oct. 11, 2014
Sun, Oct 12, 2014 2:44 PM
>From Tim Mccarthy via Ontbirds Seen around 11:15 am from Roundhouse Park just after an unidentified eagle flew over: a few turkey vultures sitting on and hovering over the top of Royal Bank Tower. These birds began to rise as others joined them from the roof and finally just above the top of the building formed a kettle of 30 or more.

[Ontbirds] Snowy Owl at Bronte Harbour
Thu, Dec 25, 2014 9:14 PM
This morning the bird was on the west pier and I was able to get some decent photos before it flew onto the top of the condo at Bronte Road and Ontario Street. (11 Bronte Road, Oakville) It was still there a few minutes ago. Directions: Exit the QEW at Bronte Road (Oakville) and go to the lake.
