WEB SITES & MOVIES
Wed, Jun 21, 2006 11:50 AM
I've been thinking about setting up a website for updating our trip as opposed to sending emails to all the friends and family. I'm not sure where to start. How do you find an inexpensive host? Do they do the website layout? Who updates? And on and on and on!!

Sinai Hospital and the top of the Hydro building, at the S-W corner of University and College. Often he/she is on top of the "intact" sign. At Mt. Sinai, he/she is just below the large vents near the top, on the cement ledge just above the windows, on the east side, near the north side of the building. So far, only flying over University.

.> I don't plan on a computer right now, but there are $500 desk top PC's now that seem to seem to have all the goodies of the $2000+ lap tops and on a trawler a place could probably be found to fit one.

TWL: RE: Comments on this amazing list and eBay stuff
Tue, Mar 6, 2001 5:12 PM
Just on a whim, I typed in BATTERY MINDER on eBay and at the top of the returned list was a single Battery MINDer where the top bid was $25.00 and there was 45 SECONDS left! I quickly (as fast as my 10 thumbs would allow) typed in $26.00 and hit submit. I was then put on the top of the bidders list with 5 seconds to spare! Done.

TWL: Diesel tank question
Mon, Apr 9, 2001 2:45 PM
Among the various fittings on the top of the tank is a wing nut like fitting on a 1"NPT opening. The top of the fitting is obviously designed to be finger opened; the attachment which fits into the tank is a 3/16 rod about as long as the tank is deep. There is no marking on the rod, although it looks somewhat like a dipstick.

Back enclosure fabrics
Wed, May 11, 2005 5:40 PM
For the fabric for your enclosure, may I suggest Top Gun. It is a proven brand name. Rochford has their own house brand which is cheaper, but I don't know how well it compares with the original. A good house sewing machine maybe able to handle simple Top Gun projects.

Paint for lettering and Bootstrap
Tue, Jul 12, 2005 11:59 PM
I would consider a paint like Pettit Boot top paint, Brightside boot top striping or Toplac--all of which are recommended for Boot top and name painting. You must remove the old paint--at least to a point where you can get a good "grip" with the new paint.

Emergency tiller
Sun, Nov 26, 2006 2:35 AM
I also found a wooden tiller arm that would fit the top of the post to allow steering if the vertical extension pipe would be attachable to the top of the rudder post. There is no documentation on the boat explaining this device or its attachment, and I can only think that it was designed for a single engine setup and won't work with twins.

Re: T&T: Changing fuel tank sight gauges
Tue, Jul 26, 2011 9:06 PM
By the way, our sight-glasses go into the top of the tank. No valve needed, and no spill when the tubing is removed from the upper fitting, no matter how full the tank is. Now before everyone writes and poo-poos this, I'll repeat it- the sight-glasses go into the "top" of the tank, not "towards the top of the tank". Rudy Briney Bug, Panama City, Fl
