Rochford has their own house brand which is cheaper, but I don't know how well it compares with the original. A good house sewing machine maybe able to handle simple Top Gun projects. Sailrite has a canvas machine that will probably sew through 8 folds of Top Gun without a hiccup. If cost is not a concern, Stamoid is the gold standard. But it is very expensive. It is strong and light, and extremely durable. A light sewing machine will handle Stamoid better than other fabrics of 10 oz or more. Po Chang Albin 33 1979 Baltimore, Md
