TWL: Recent weekends on the Chesapeake and Barnacle alert
Mon, Jun 19, 2000 5:35 PM
I say all of this as a heads up. Like everything else in the Spring, the barnacles also spawn. They grow fast and if you don't get on top of them early and keep ahead of them, before you know it you're running at reduced speed and perhaps even experiencing overheating. This happened last year about mid-season to a Listee in Solomon's.

TWL: Table for Pilot House Settee
Sat, Jul 20, 2002 7:54 PM
Painted it white. > The > > table attaches to the top of the pipe with a discarded table slide so my > > table slides fore and aft , really neat. It is 32 inches by 16 , > used 3/4 inch teak plywood. The fiddle is one inch 1/2 round stained to match the teak trim in the P/H. Each corner of the 1/2 round is cut down to allow easy clean up.

Re: T&T: Icemaker recommendation
Thu, Nov 2, 2006 8:59 PM
Tom, I kept my Raritan on all the time and used it as a substitute freezer with ice on top that I used to keep the drinks cold in the cooler. Using my Kill-A-Watt meter, I found that it used so little and kept the steaks frozen. It was not worth it for me to turn it on and off.

Re: T&T: RIB Prop

It would help to know WOT rpm loaded if at all possible. I did lose a bit of top end, but insignificant overall. FWIW I paid <$80 for the prop. Steve -- Steve Sipe Solo 4303 "Maerin" Brunswick, GA

Re: [OpenSCAD] 2015.02.05 less responsive

The long tube sticking out of the top of the Mendel90 is actually cut off with a difference here https://github.com/nophead/Mendel90/blob/master/scad/spool_holder.scad#L385. It is just a trick so the correct length appears on the BOM but a truncated version in the view. I don't know an easy way of bending into the correct shape to meet the extruder.

Question about precise frequency / phase measurement
Thu, Apr 19, 2012 7:10 PM
Hello @all, my name is Wolfgang and i'm new to the list. :) I browsed through the list archive, but i didn't find the infos i need, so i decided to join the list and to ask the experts directly. :) I want to measure the frequency difference between a 10 MHz OCXO and a 10 MHz Rubidium.

Re: [time-nuts] Changing FE-5650A frequency?
Sun, Apr 7, 2013 5:26 PM
You can cut it away but it is very easy to damage the PCB. Frequency setting is by DIP switches (under the foam) allowing full range of frequency selection. However the output filter is narrow so you can't go far from 800kHz. > Did you buy all seven? > > Robert G8RPI. > > Robert, Thanks for the info!

I am beginning to think it may be power/ground planes are shorted on the four layer board (all boards are four layer)... probably wasted $20 on a DC-DC. It's not going to be easy tracking down the short. Maybe apply a high-current 5V supply and see what gets hot.
