TWL: Re-christening of Vessel
Fri, Jan 10, 2003 3:13 PM
The other tradition that I am not familiar with is the location of silver coins. I know on sailboats (having sailed over 25 years), that they belong under the butt of the mast. However, where do they go on a power boat? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Re: [time-nuts] RS-232 Pin Outs for the Acron Zeit WWVB LCD Clock

the connection would have to be a minimal 3-wire serial (RS-232 or TTL/UART) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/RS-232#3-wire_and_5-wire_RS-232 Ground is easy to find, and TxD and RxD is a coin-toss (50:50) if you hook-up right. greg, w9gb === I thought I could answer this question (Acron Zeit) easily, since I had the cable right at hand.

[CITASA] FW: [ciresearchers] CfP -- Linking the Local with the Global within Community informatics -- Journal of Community Informatics

Consequently, people could become actors who are engaged in the glocal networks of mobile people, goods and information. However, glocal influence or interaction could be directed from the top-down, laterally, or from the bottom-up. CI implicitly embraces the tension between the local and the global.
