My wife and I are expecting our 1st child (Ahem..I mean Boat) to be
delivered next week.
Unfortunately we do need to rename the Vessel and we are in need of a little
help with tradition of what is a (standard) protocol regarding the proper
re-christening of a Vessel. In other words when we are ready to "re-launch"
and hold our speech and proceed with the breaking of the champagne bottle
over the bow, hull or sprit extension thereof.
The other tradition that I am not familiar with is the location of silver
coins. I know on sailboats (having sailed over 25 years), that they belong
under the butt of the mast. However, where do they go on a power boat?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
