They all seemed (a) expensive and (b) a bit underpowered. Getting thick gumbo off of a 1/2 chain is a real challenge. My final choice was to avoid "marine" pumps altogether. Instead, I bought an el-cheapo stainless steel shallow-well pump from Harbor Freight: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?

Re: [time-nuts] Boeing 787 GPS reception trouble

At least with GSM, a mobile station needs to receive a base station signal before it transmits anything at all. If no cell network signals are received at all, the mobile should not be transmitting anything at all either, as without a base station signal it has no idea what frequency channel it should be transmitting on, etc.

.> Does the river system from Mobile to Chicago have sufficient draft currently for this vessel? It has been several years since I was thru it but seem to recall the loaded barges are of 8-10 ft draft. I had no moments of concern with 6 1/2 ft. in 1995.
