Good afternoon,

This morning while conducting the daily census at the Long Point Bird
Observatory's Old Cut Research Station I observed a stunning Violet-green
Swallow foraging at tree top height above the infamous Old Cut parking lot.
The bird was observed for about 10 seconds before disappearing behind some
trees to the west.

The rare bird report is available here -
https://anousbirding.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/obrc_vgsw_21august2014.pdf

About 45 minutes later a Dickcissel flew west overhead calling regularly.

Good birding,

Stu
