Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes

Does the river system from Mobile to Chicago have sufficient draft currently
for this vessel? It has been several years since I was thru it but seem to
recall the loaded barges are of 8-10 ft draft. I had no moments of concern
with 6 1/2 ft. in 1995.
The concern with this route I would have is the lack of any facilities to
work on a vessel of this size if there were a major issue requiring a
haul-out or such. This route would be the least expensive and take the
shortest amount of time if it can be run.
Looks like the St Lawrence may be the better bet unless this boat is in top
nick and the draft is OK. The need for lots of new gear certainly will add
to the cost of delivery via this route, IMHO
What say Bob and other's?
Cheers
