I know what a Schrader Valve is, but the second part of your question has me puzzled too. George of Scaramouche, Lake Ontario, Canada

Both are good and sharp but I prefer the 7X mostly because I've found it almost impossible to hold the 10X steady enough on a moving boat. George of Scaramouche, Lake Ontario, Canada

Does anyone know where and how? Please no reference to www - have no access to the web, but a phone number or e-mail address would be appreciated. TIA - George in Canada (icecube country soon)

TWL: Biocides in Diesel
Mon, Sep 24, 2001 12:54 PM
This thread was started upon discovering a black gooey slime in the diesel tank which may or may not have anything to do with the use of Biobor JF. I forgot who started the thread but would like to obtain some more info on the situation from anyone else who has encountered the black slime.... I am the one who found black goo in my Racor filter after a year and a half of inactivity. George of Scaramouche1, Lake Ontario, Canada

The only remedy, as far as I >know, is >to take the filter apart and clean the bowl by hand I don't consider 1 1/2 seasons a "very long time". especially since Diesel bought at the same time and stored in red plastic 5 Gal fuel containers was clean as a whistle. Main difference is that I added Biobor JF to the actual tank but nothing to the fuel in the plastic containers. I did clean the Racor bowl by hand and changed the filter (2 micron). Hence I repeat my earlier question: Has anybody else had this problem of sudge after using Biobor? George of Scaramouche, Lake Ontario P.s: My engine runs fine - no sludge ever got past the Racor!
