Hi John
Something I need to do, too. However, what's a schrader valve, and how did
you clamp the other output end of the clear hose to the Morse cable to avoid
leaks from the pump pressure?
Thanks, Garrett

Please publish the reply on the list. I know what a Schrader Valve
is, but the second part of your question has me puzzled too.

Schrader valve is the air valve used on car, bicycle tires etc. You could
use an old valve scrounged from your local tire dealer.

!/2 inch hose clamps - there is not much pressure and so what if it leaks
a little.
Caveat: It worked in our instance. But!!! I was under the impression the
sheath (the part the core slides against) in these cables was a teflon
type material, as opposed to being metallic and they got stiff because the
core wore a groove in it at the bends. The WD40 would clean out any "guck"
that may be making it stiff though.
Have fun
