The good news is that almost all nav software allows you to do this, because this is how you send GPS data from the nav program to your autopilot. By the way, that's the technical answer. You can do it this way an make it work. But I would *definitely* go with a second GPS, in fact that's what I do on my boat.

The only thing that I would change is that I would have used the 2 volt versions so that I could wire all 12 in series.

You could also try the Cape Cod Bird Club which offers excellent outings that are open to all. They have a website that lists their activities. Other birding locations: Beech forest trail in Provincelands, the dune area. Also, Pilgrim Springs trail can offer excellent birding in Sept.
