Re: T&T: Solar panels to replace bimini

For the Velcro there is a flap with loop, strip of hook adhered to the panel on top, strip of loop on underside and strip of hook sewn to the top; Velcro top and bottom and the flap stays flat when the panel is removed protecting the Velcro from UV. The base of these panels is 1/16" polycarbonate to which the self adhesive Velcro sticks very well.

FW: [BCALA] The passing of Dr. Lorene B. Brown, PhD, Dean of Atlanta University- School of Library and Information Science
Fri, Nov 8, 2019 8:19 PM
When great souls die, the air around us becomes light, rare, sterile. We breathe, briefly. Our eyes, briefly, see with a hurtful clarity. Our memory, suddenly sharpened, examines, gnaws on kind words unsaid, promised walks never taken. Great souls die and our reality, bound to them, takes leave of us.

Also, the die in the tool must match the terminal, and the terminal must match the wire size, so with AWG wire sizes, must use AWG-sized terminal and die; with SAE wire (strongly discouraged), must use SAE-sized terminal and die, because SAE wire is slightly smaller in diameter than equivalent numbered AWG wire, and SAE uses type II strands vs. type III strands

[1,5,6,2], // right [2,6,7,3], // back [3,7,4,0], // left [4,7,6,5], // top ]); } You could, if you really wanted to, directly define the polyhedron that is the box, complete with both the outside faces, the inside faces, the top faces, and theĀ  bottom faces, but that's a little more intricate: polyhedron(

Installing a fuel sight tube on a cross-connecting line
Wed, Dec 21, 2005 3:11 PM
Bob, It should work, but why not find a way to connect the top of the sight tube to the top of the tank. That way you don't have the risk of somehow having fuel slosh out of the top of the tube when the tanks are full.

Fuel Tank Repair

I wonder why the new coating was not taken to the top including the top itself. If the top was rusting so badly so as to drop rust scale to the bottom of tank? Cloudy Bay GB32 #865

Re: special variables
Fri, Aug 8, 2025 8:14 AM
The initial setting ("top") is visible at the top level, and in anything called from the top level - which means the top-level call to foo(), and the call to bar() until bar's first line, where a new $special is created ("bar"). That new $special is visible to bar() and to everything that bar() calls - notably, its call to foo().

Tape the level to the straight piece, then, using the straight piece placed at the point on deck where you measured from the top of the mast (or whatever), run the straight piece out athwartship, adjusting it level and measure from it to the water. This is, of course, much easier to do with two people.
