Re: TWL: hull insulation moisture
Mon, Jun 11, 2001 11:25 PM
All the boats in the marina were dry and sound - except mine. There seemed to be a persistent roughly triangular form of moisture visible near the bow. Well it was very early spring, the cockpit had ben covered, the keel except for a few inches (which the moisture meter faithfully reported) all were dry.

No big deal and I can get all the keys I want. Might be worth considering. George of Scaramouche

Installing Corian or Like Ilk
Sat, Dec 8, 2007 4:31 PM
They gave us all the Corian. It was easy to remove as it was only set down with little dabs of some sort of silicone and came up easily with no breakage. So maybe with a search of Craigslist or a construction recycler you might find some lightly used Corian or other solid surface. We were able to do our whole galley and bar top.

Re: [time-nuts] Performance of 74LVC series ICs

Apart from on-die coupling, they share the same power/ground leads, however short they are. So just getting power and ground from the board onto the die, they would be corrupted by what happens in the other gate and its load (L*di/dt). Andy

RE: Top 10 trawlers
Wed, Dec 30, 1998 11:42 PM
Their main problem is that they are all getting old. I'd also like to nominate the 32' Fales Seeker. Not many of them were built as I understand that Mr. Fales got tired and decided to go out of business. They are very similar to the Willard 30' trawler but the extra two feet makes quite a bit of difference.
