I suspect the medical stuff gets built with "mil-qualified" parts because the customer base has a higher tolerance for the added cost Also dont forget guys a lot of the toys we have all bought on Evil-Bay , etc ,,are well beyond it's design life cycle I think the youngest Item I have in my "collection" is at least 25 years old.

Hi Peter, see the attached list of the so-called slash sheets of MIL-PRF-3098. There are several items for crystals in HC-6/U holder. Most of the usually define the stability over temperature as a rectangle, i.e. +-x % over a certain temperature range. From that you can calculate, which range of turn-over temperatures are possible.

The real trick was locating well shielded patch cables to keep the Thunderbolt from jamming WWV on 10 MHz.
