Power Tool - small router
Thu, Dec 1, 2005 4:38 PM
I also carry a Makita electric die-grinder. I use small metal cutting wheels and buffing wheels for de-burring. Like the laminate trimmer, it's only occasionally used but handy when called upon. Peter www.SeaSkills.com

A 50 millisecond +1.5 VDC pulse is all you need; next second give it a -1.5 VDC pulse, etc. This is a few lines of code for a microcontroller. I've got pictures of this somewhere on my web site, I think. See also Bryan's cool stuff at: http://www.bmumford.com/clocks/emindex.html Some of us have driven traditional pendulum clocks with GPS or atomic 1PPS.

Unfortunately he did not add any size to the boat's rudder to compensate for all his earlier modifications. The net effect was that when the boat went down into a wave troff the boat tended to broach to one side or the other (flip a coin - not predictable). The boat could also not be backed into a slip easily despite the bow thruster.

You have the basic shape of the coin being a torus unioned with a cylinder, with a sphere subtracted.  But that's the same as a circle unioned with a rectangle, with a circle subtracted, all rotate-extruded.  The shape that would be rotate-extruded is this: That gets you the body of the coin, without anywhere near as many nasty 3D operations.

Re: [USRP-users] X300/CBX-120 at high sample rates: Filter issues?

Center frequencies are 50 MHz apart, so for example two measurements fc=3.00 GHz and fc=3.05 GHz should agree between 3.00 and 3.05 GHz. Instead they differ notably. With a lower sample rate this does not happen. What shapes the transfer function like that, besides the lowpass cutoff?

Re: T&T: Induction cook top/modified sine wave inverter
Sun, May 20, 2018 12:27 AM
Are the electronics in an induction cook top similar to a microwave or should it work on modified sine wave inverter power? Induction burners themselves are fine on MSW power, quite unlike microwave tubes. In fact, inside an induction hob the incoming power is first rectified to DC and then inverted to a high frequency AC.
