This vibration increases up to WOT Ed, First of all go under the boat and see , feel , if any rope or whatever is in the wheel. Good chance that is all . If not feel the prop for bent blades. Even if it does not look nor feel bent it can very well be bent. That is an easy and usually relatively cheap fix.

Check out boatdiesel.com for all the info on the motor. With normal care and a few particular areas to watch - namely the raw water pump, this is a very reliable boat motor. Especially in our trawler type boats with easy rpm's you should last a long time. All assumes the P.O. took good care of them and excersised them regularly.

Thank you to all that replied with thoughts and suggestions regarding the “homing” pigeon. The bird now has a good home. During this process I found out something I never knew - that pigeons like this are sometimes released at weddings and then would have to fend for themselves. Many would end up as easy targets for hawks.
