Two COMMON GALLINULES were in the marsh on June 10. The only migrant shorebirds this week were a RUDDY TURNSTONE on June 10 and five SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS and two DUNLINS on June 8.

The winds should be WNW starting around 10 mph and dropping slightly though the day. Hopefully, this will be a productive wind and not too strong. The winds are scheduled to drop on Wednesday and turn easterly so that is a day that will have to be seen to see what happens.

In other non-raptor news fewer than 10 Monarch Butterflies were seen today but observers reported seeing several Orange Sulphurs, a few Clouded Sulphurs, an Eastern Comma and a Red Admiral. Only 1 Dragonfly, a Common Green Darner was reported today.
