Re: [OpenSCAD] Any thoughts on using units other than millimeters?

Once you account for that, it's just as easy to just use the metric dimensions On Mon, 20 May 2019, 09:14 William Adams, wrote: > I was trying to work through this a while back --- wanted to provide a > unit setting in the customizer and it was rather problematic. > > On 19.05.2019 18:33, Kevin Toppenberg wrote: > > function inch(i)

Re: [time-nuts] 57600 baud rate with Basic etc

Basic serial has its merits, but it's regrettable that RS-232 came out on top. RS-422 (or full-duplex RS-485, not much difference) would have been a much better choice. Differential so it has good noise resistance, and it doesn't use weird voltages (-12V? come on...) It all looks the same from the software side though.

All aboard the Pink Siskin train....
Mon, Dec 3, 2018 1:21 PM
All 3 were in the thistle feeder this morning, as well. I do have a single Fox Sparrow around, too. Siskin is not a new yard bird, but I usually only see a single straggler during spring migration and they hardly ever spend any length of time here. I have plenty of food, so I hope they stay.

RE: TWL: Fewer Holes

The top of the chest was just above the waterline. A single big opening 6" + diameter with a top notch seacock fed the whole chamber. Since the top was above normal water level you could open up the lid and get at the opening to free up any debris that clogged it. A crow bar or ram rod could be poked down to unblock anything short of a cement plug.
